Our Structure

Funding

As a not for profit organisation, the Samaritans Crisis Line is primarily supported by donations from individuals, community and corporate organisations. The Samaritans Crisis Line also receives funding from the Mental Health Commission although Government funding alone is not enough to ensure we remain open.

In order to achieve our objectives of reaching as many people as possible who need our services, generous donations are augmented with Government funding and this allows us to spread our services and message throughout the State and the rest of the country.

The Samaritans Crisis Line is staffed by a small administration team and the generous time donated by our team of dedicated volunteers.  The organisation is steered by an experienced Management Committee who also provide their time and expertise on a volunteer basis.
