- Where appropriate, being able to refer you to a specialised service to help with your situation.
For those living in the shadow of suicide
The pain of losing a friend or loved one to suicide can be unbearable. Feelings of guilt, anger, confusion and intense sorrow are all normal. Samaritans Crisis Line is here to help you sort through these emotions in coming to terms with your loss and through our dedicated Shadow of Suicide service you can talk to someone who is experienced in providing support in this area.

Support for those in prison
Suicide in custody is an issue which exists is prisons across the world. Prisoner suicide can be triggered by:
- Severe guilt or shame over offences
- Developing severe anxiety with approaching court dates
- Fear of the unknown
- Isolation from family and friends
- Conflicts with other prisoners
- Victimisation
- Legal frustration
- Initial remand
- Extension of a sentence.
Since 2004, the Samaritans Crisis Line has provided phone services to all prisons in Western Australia.
