In early 2012 the Samaritans Crisis Line will be expanding its footprint and setting up a new branch in Mandurah.
With an increasing demand for its services and a greater need for volunteers the Samaritans Crisis Line saw the opportunity to establish a satellite branch outside the metropolitan area as a way of tackling these challenges.
Sponsored by Willoughby Park Wines and hosted by Sayers Food in Leederville, Friends of Samaritans recently held a Sundowner to assist in increasing awareness in the community and raising funds to support the Samaritans Crisis Line as it expands its

network into the Mandurah region.
Guests enjoyed a delicious selection of canapes accompanied by Willoughby Park Wines and had the exclusive opportunity to sample beers from WA's newest brewery, Boston Brewery.
Mayor of the City of Mandurah, Ms Paddi Creevey spoke at the event. Also an Ambassador for the 10th Anniversary of the International Year of Volunteers, Ms Creevey understands the commitment of the 130 volunteers currently involved in the Samaritans Crisis Line. "The City of Mandurah is both excited and honoured that the Samaritans Crisis Line has chosen our community for this new branch outside of the metropolitan area", said Ms Creevey.
