Samaritans Crisis Line Annual General Meeting

The 44th Annual General Meeting of the Samaritans Crisis Line was held on the 13th of August 2011.

There was a break from tradition with the AGM being held off site at the Shenton Park Community Centre. The spacious venue accomodated the strong turnout of members, friends, representatives from other organisations and our Patron and Ambassador.

Samaritans Crisis Line Director Kevin Crombie welcomed those at the meeting and gave an overview of the past year and the organisation's plans for the future, including the installation of a new telephone system and the establishment of the first satellite branch in Mandurah.

Samaritans Crisis Line Patron The Honourable Justice John McKechnie was an inspiring guest speaker and shared his personal journey as a previous Samaritan and how these experiences had become a part of his life beyond the Samaritans.

Committee nominations were accepted and elections were held with the appointment of two new committee members including a new Treasurer. The committee unanimously voted that Kevin Crombie continue as Director for 2011/2012.

Attendees enjoyed a light lunch with the opportunity to socialise on conclusion of the meeting.
