Bequests

It provides peace of mind to many people to know that they are able to leave a legacy behind after their death. In the past, bequests have provided us with our home in Subiaco, and other such invaluable resources. The Samaritans asks that having provided for your loved ones, you consider us in your will, as your contribution would allow us to continue supporting the lonely, suicidal and despairing.

Making a bequest may be as simple as making an addition to your will, we do suggest however, that you seek the advice of your solicitor. Capital gains tax relief may be available to your estate when you make a bequest.

Suggested wording for a bequest.

"I give % of my estate to The Samaritans Inc of 60 Bagot Road Subiaco in the state of Western Australia to be applied for the use of The Samaritans Inc for any specific purpose/s as agreed by The Samaritans Inc and I direct that the receipt of The Samaritans Inc thereof shall be sufficient discharge to my trustee."
