ARBOR
ARBOR provides the following services for people bereaved by suicide in Perth, WA.
Peer Support - Spend time with a trained volunteer who has been there. Peer Supporters have been bereaved by suicide in the past and are here to help those newly bereaved.
Counselling - Short term One-on-One counselling or family work, with professional grief counsellors is available at no cost.
Home visits - A grief counsellor and peer supporter can visit bereaved families at their home and provide initial support.
Referral advice - Professional advice and support with referrals for on-going support.
Returning to work - Facilitation of a meeting (formal or informal) with the bereaved and their work colleagues before the return to work date, to ease the process of facing work again.
Support groups - A safe and supportive environment where family members and friends can share experiences with other bereaved people.
Seasons for Growth Children's Grief Program - ARBOR will be offering this successful 9 week grief education and support program for children aged 6-12 years who are bereaved by suicide or other death.

Beyond Blue
Beyond blue is a national initiative which provides resources and research in conjunction with programes and events relating to depression.
Crisis care
Provides a 24 hour crisis service to the people of WA. Services include practical support, free advice and counselling on issues such as child protection and domestic violence.

If you need help for a mental health emergency, contact the Mental Health Emergency Response Line. Experienced mental health professionals are ready to take your call, 24 hours a day. If necessary, one of our Community Emergency Response Teams will attend and provide assistance. The Community Emergency Response Teams are available throughout the metropolitan area from Two Rocks in the north to Peel and Waroona in the south.

Suicide call back service

The Suicide Call Back Service supports callers through a series of six 50-minute telephone counselling sessions, scheduled to suit you. Professional counsellors, with specialist skills in working with suicide-related issues, will assist you in working through difficult emotions. The service provides support for people over the age of 18, although parents of youth at risk are encouraged to call for support.
