Directory of Youth Service - Introduction
This is the seventh edition of the Youth Service Directory, and The Samaritans have been delighted with the response from Health Care workers who quite frequently, call it their ‘most valuable resource’.
There are already 36,000 copies of former editions in circulation and the demand for these has never waned. Samaritans appreciate the support of those who have assisted in financing this project.
The primary purpose of this booklet is to provide easy access to services for youth. As a secondary benefit, we include information on suicide, to keep raising awareness and reminding the health care workers of the risk in our society, of the value of clarifying suicidal thoughts and intentions with their clients.
